SS 304 vs SS 316 — Which Grade for Your Property?

- Staircase railing height: 900mm (3 feet) from the stair nosing to the top of the handrail
- Balcony / terrace railing height: 1,050mm–1,200mm (3.5–4 feet) from finished floor level
- Vertical bar spacing: Maximum 100mm (4 inches) gap between bars — prevents a child's head from passing through
- Handrail diameter: 38–50mm for comfortable grip
